Ud [here]="upwards"+tan="stretch"+pad="foot". Begin in Shavasana. Bring one leg up, sole to the sky (ardha-uttanapadasana). Then the other; then both.

Progression

Variation 1

PART 1: From full Uttanapadasana, bring one leg over, back and down.

PART 2: Bring both legs back.

Variation 2

PART 1: From full Uttanapada, open your legs.

PART 2: Bring the toes down toward the floor, assisting with hands on thighs or knees.
