Progression

From Dandasana, fold both legs and bring the heels toward the body. Ankles or shins may cross; outer foot may go under the opposite thigh, atop the calf, or atop the thigh. Hands to knees.

Variation 1

Hands in namaste.

Variation 2

PART 1: Arms straight and high, palms together, with or without thumblock.

Variation 2

PART 2: Hands behind head, elbows back.

Variation 2

PART 3: Arms straight at 45 degrees from vertical, pressed back.

Variation 2

PART 4: Arms straight at 90 degrees from vertical, pressed back.

Variation 2

PART 5: Arms straight at 135 degrees from vertical, pressed back
