Bala = “child.” Begin in Jalapada. Bend forward and rest your forehead on the ground. Reach back and grasp your heels. Reach back and hold your ankles or heels for a nice stretch.
Variation 1
Lay your arms on the ground forward, palms down.
Variation 2
Interlace your fingers with hands at the small of the back, and turn your head to one side.
Variation 3
Raise the interlaced hands high, and ground your chin.
